BUSY!!

When did life become so busy?  Oh I remember on March 3rd at 5:55 a.m. when Annabelle was born.  :-)

It seems as though I'm always busy and most of it is because I have so many creative projects I want to do but can't seem to do them when little munchkin is awake so I try to squeeze them in at night.

Project List:

- Change out pictures in window frames for play room
- Make dryer balls (1 down 7 to go)
- Make Non Paper Towels (2 down as many as I can do to go)
- Family Faces Blocks for Annabelle (4 down lots more to go)
- Reusable snack and sandwich bags (several down as many as I want to go)
- Quilt for Annabelle's big girl room (not started)
- Quilt out of Annabelle first year of clothing (not started)
- A 20x20 Canvas of pictures form Annabelle's first year template done and started adding pictures
- Learn how to make good homemade bread
- Make a recipe board (not started)
- Make a kitchen play set for Annabelle (not started)
- Paint rooms (all but the guest bathroom is done)
- Decorate guest room (partly done)
- Make diaper inserts (not started)


YIKES!!!!!!!!!  I totally just made myself overwhelmed looking at this list.  I truly just can't sit still I guess.

HELP!!!

Trip to Club Med FL

Last week we took our first real family vacation in a long time.  We drove to FL to stay at the all inclusive resort Club Med.

I must say this place was great for Families!  They had a Baby Club for Annabelle to go to so we could go lay in the sun or go to the spa.  All the staff was out of this world!

The rooms came with a changing table pad, baby bath, bottle warmer, pack-n-play, and stroller.  Had I known I could of left our things at home.

We did drive there and with a  one year old a 10 hour drive turned into 14 hours but all and all it wasn't all that bad.

My big complaint was the WiFi there SUCKED!  They wanted you to pay $50 for the week and then I couldn't get on most of the time or when I did it was one bar.  We wanted to use it to watch Netflix at night while we sat in our room because of Annabelle's early bed time.  They did let us keep our internet key and they refunded the money.  Also, even though the resort was updated I still think some of the resort could use some TLC.

Jerry was very frustrated with the meal situation because it was cafeteria style and not organized well and everyone was walking around like zombies not paying a mind to where they were walking.

Besides what I mentioned above I would go back for the child care programs they have and the fact we can drive there and it wasn't overly expensive.  Plus you don't have to worry about paying for meals.

The Adventures In Sewing/Serging

Ok so we all know I am pretty darn crafty and let's just say Pintrest has inspired me over and over again.  The jury is out if Jerry things this is a good thing or a bad thing (leaning towards good).  So I have decided to continue my efforts into saving money and going green by making:

- Re-usuable Paper Non-Paper Towels

- Re-usuable Snack Bags

- Re-usuable Napkins

With that said I kept seeing You Tube videos on Serging and I decided to get one.  Now I am serging away.  I am in the learning process and I made a roll of Non-Paper towels but I learned some lessons.  I am sure as I keep going they will get better.  

Now I am trying to figure out the best way for me to make a sandwich/snack bag.  I am going to give these away as party favors at Annabelle's 1st birthday party with some gold fish in them.  

I will give you an update once I have this thing down pat.  But I mist say serging looks so much more professional then sewing and the machine trims the fabric as you go, Awesome!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Jerry got Annabelle and I a heart pandora charm that one side says Mother and the other side says Daughter and she got her very own bracelet.   I also got a tunnel of love charm.  Jerry is a very thoughtful and great gift giver!

Happy Valentine's Day

11 Months Old

So I'm a little late ok 9 days late, but hey better late then never.

Annabelle is 11 months old now and has 4 teeth and one ready to come through any day now.  Her hair is long enough to get in pigtails now and let me tell you she is so darn cute.  She is pulling herself up and walking while holding onto things, it won't be long before she is walking.

We finally baby proofed the kitchen and put all the locks on the cabinets because it was becoming impossible to get anything done because she would either open the cabinets or stand and yell from the other room because she wants to be with you.

She is starting to eat more finger foods and she tends to waste the baby food though she still loves her bottle.  Lord help us I hope she starts eating more so when she comes off the bottle it is easy.

I'm started to notice her playing with other kids now and it's so cute.  Here are some pictures from her 11 month mini shoot we did (taking these alone is pretty darn hard these days).
