She is Getting Big!! 32 weeks

I definitely can feel Ms. Annabelle now.  Just a few minutes ago as I was playing on my computer sitting on the couch I could feel her kicking against my right arm as I surfed the web so I stopped and put my hand there, next thing I know I feel my tummy going in waves and then a sharp quick pain in my private area.  OUCH!!

You have to wonderful what is actually going on in there.. LOL..

Tomorrow we are 32 weeks along.  She is supposed to be about 3.75 pounds and 16 inches long.  It's hard to believe at times that something that big is in me although as you can see she makes it known she is in there.  We have a Dr. appointment in the morning to check up on her and we are forever closer to having her in our arms.

I have been having a hard time sleeping through the night and I seem to wake up around 3:30am or 4am every night if nothing else but to pee but sometimes I can't sleep and I go to the couch to watch TV or have a snack.  I find the leather couch comfy at that time of night because it's cool and it supports my back.   However, the nights I do get up I really feel crappy the next day especially if I don't get back to sleep at all.

The mornings are getting harder and harder and it's getting uncomfortable to drive and walk into work in the morning.  Often I have to lay back in my chair for a bit when I get in because I feel light headed or tummy just doesn't feel good.  I just keep saying it won't be much longer as I am now 8 months along.  The way I figure it I only have about 6 more weeks of work and as time goes on like others who have had babies in my group I might need to work from home more often.

I think all and all I have been lucky during this pregnancy but as they say the third trimester the honeymoon is over and for me that means increased heartburn, feeling like I was punched in the belly, uncomfortable sleeping, lack of sleeping... but... it could be worse.

Merry Christmas!!

I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas!  Jerry and I have had a great Christmas.  I feel so spoiled this year and Jerry said the same, we didn't get each other outrageous gifts but we got thoughtful and meaningful gifts.  Being pregnant and emotional I cried a little when I saw he had got me a new charm for my pandora bracelet, it's to rings on a pillow and one has a little diamond in it.  It's was a charm to represent our marriage.  I love it!

I also got an awesome mono pod for my camera and it rocks!  I have wanted one for sometime now and I can't wait to start using it.

I got Jerry new cuff links that are monogrammed and he loved them.  He also got a heart rate monitor for when he works out.

We both also got each other things we needed but just wouldn't spring on for ourselves :-)

Annabelle wasn't left out this year either.  She got some books and a few toys along with some leg warmers, socks, hat, pacifiers and a Sofia Giraffe.  We can't wait until next year when we have her here with us to open gifts and enjoy a good family Christmas.

All of Annabelle's Goodies
Today we have been laying around in comfy clothing all day and we are making a good old Yankee Pot Roast for dinner, it is yummy and so easy to make and clean up.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! I hope everyone have a wonderful New Year and may 2012 bring you everything you have been hoping for :-)

Found a Doula and a Pediatrician

It sure has been a busy week with Christmas right around the corner and us trying to cross off things on our "To Do" list.  We went and met the Doula's we had found and we really like them and are very happy with our decision to have a Doula present at our birth experience.  There are 3 Doula's in the practice so we are assured to get someone who is fresh and awake and if we labor goes beyond a day we will have a new fresh Doula come in to help through the rest of the time.  They really seem to love their jobs and they are very informed.  Here is a link to the their site http://www.thebirthingwell.com/meet-the-doulas/

What is a Doula you ask?  They will help us with the following:
  • Helping with alternative pain relief for those who don't want medication for pain relief.
  • Being an advocate for our wishes (they can't speak for us but can help us better understand what is happening so we can make the right choice).
  • Help be there for emotional support for Jerry and I, so Jerry will be able to get a break if the labor goes long.
  •  They will come to our home to help us labor if we would like them to.
  •  They know a lot of the policies at a hospital and they can help our wishes to be met.
  •  If we would like them to they can take pictures for us (of course respecting any boundaries on what type of pictures)
We are very much looking forward to  working with them during the birth of our little Annabelle.

For the Pediatrician we went to a prenatal visit with a couple of other expecting parents.  This practice seems to be GREAT!  They gave us a very informative package of information and spent time talking to us about what to expect in the hospital at birth and how the practice works.  They are open 364 days a week and available 24/7, I mean seriously I have never heard of that and that is AWESOME!!  They are located in the building that is attached to were we will be having the baby and I especially like that they have different waiting rooms for sick kids vs. well kids vs. teenagers vs. infants.  Here is their website http://raleighchildren.com/ . I think we found a great fit for our little Annabelle and I am very happy we will always have someone to call day or night in case of illness.

31 Weeks:
Tomorrow is 31 weeks and I am very excited and feeling more ready every day.  We still have a bunch to do and buy but now that we have the Doula and the Dr. I feel better and more ready.  I do need to take a picture of my belly so you all can see what it looks like but it really isn't as big as I thought it would be.  She is riding really low on me so most of it is below my belly button line.

Little Annabelle is still right at home and been kicking and moving around more and more.  We are now seeing our OB every two weeks and soon we change over to once a week.  So 9 more weeks to go and I just think back to waiting till 12 weeks before we could tell people and I keep saying that time went by fast so this will too!

I hope everyone is having a great Holiday!!!  We defiantly have had our prayers answered this year and  I thank God every day for all his blessings this past year has brought.  I still get emotional when I think of our little one that we lost on Christmas last year and our second little one we lost in April but I know everything happens for a reason and we were blessed to have them with us for the time we did.

Merry Christmas to All!

To Buy:  We really use our registries (Babies R Us and Amazon) to keep track of this and we have marked things we have bought as purchased.  We have been buying things as we went along so we didn't find ourselves here in the 3rd trimester with a list a mile long of things we needed and baby things are expensive when you look at the volume of things you need!

This is my brainstorm in no order of priority
  • Breast Pump Got it
  • Rocker Ordered
  • High Chair
  • Bumbo
  • Bounce Play Seat
  • Bottles
  • Pacifiers
  • Cloth Diapers
  • Eurgo Baby Carrier w/ Infant Insert

  • Laundry Basket for her room
  • Lotions and Soap and all that good stuff for baby
  • Activity Center
  • Baby Gates and Safety Items
I am sure I am missing something here.  Some how we will get all of this :-)

Our house is starting to look like a home

This has been one very busy year and among getting married, remodeling a second home 8hrs away to sell, suffering the losses of our little ones and we bought a home in Feb., but we have not been able to afford to buy some of that "nice to have" furniture, it just wasn't a priority.  But now with our little one on her way here soon we decided that if we planned to drive the 3hrs to IKEA and 3hrs back to get some dining room furniture we better do it now, because we needed to take the truck.

IKEA furniture isn't the best but we actually think it is just what we needed for now as this isn't our forever home.  We are having some friends over for dinner on Saturday so that will be our first true use of the table.

We also purchases a buffet table for the dining room.  The color kind of blends in on this picture but the thought is we will paint this room at some point.

While at IKEA we saw a console table that would work well for our family room.  It gives us a place to put some of our many books and it kind of finishes out the room so we are not looking at the back of our couch.  As you can see we did find a mirror for above the fireplace (thank goodness it needed it badly).

Glucose Test:  So from what they tell me no news is good news and I have not heard anything from the Dr. and it's been over a week.  It's safe to say that all was good.  I have another Dr. apt on Friday but I am guessing that is just going to be the usual check in.

I am thinking that my next post is going to be a brain dump of our "To Do" list of things to get done before Ms. Annabelle arrives...

Am I really going to be another year older tomorrow?

How is it that time can fly by  for some things and seem to crawl for others?  It just seems like yesterday I was celebrating my 32nd Birthday and now tomorrow I will be celebrating my 33rd Birthday.   But yet now that I am waiting for little Annabelle the weeks seems to go just a little slower and I am sure when she gets here and I want time to slow down things will pick up to light speed.

Tomorrow I am going out to dinner with my favorite person, my wonderful husband.  This will be my last Birthday without our little girl and I can't wait to celebrate my Birthday with my husband and little girl.  I am sure this time next year it will feel like someone turned on the fast forward button on me.

A big thank you to those who have already sent me cards, each and everyone one of them made me smile!

Hello Third Trimester... 28 Weeks Down (12 to go maybe)

What a milestone we hit today!  We are now going into our third trimester and the chance of Annabelle surviving if she should comes early is really good now.  Woohooo!!!!

Today we had our 28 week Dr. appointment which included the glucose test.  For those who have not had to take this test before let me say it really isn't that bad.  The drink tasted like an orange freeze pop that had melted well I should say several not frozen freeze pops.  I was able to drink it at home and then we went to the Dr. and I did have a bit of a time keeping it down as I felt like I was going to be sick on my way to the Dr.  I won't know how we did on the test until early next week but I am hoping I pass so I don't have to do the 3 hr test.

Tomorrow is a fun day!!!! We are going to go get some more 3D ultrasound pictures taken of Annabelle so we can get a better idea of what she will look like and so we can include these on our Christmas cards.  I am guessing this will be one of the last times we see her on ultrasound before she gets here.

She is now getting to be over 2.25 pounds (getting to be a big girl) and 14 inches long.  At least that is what I read she should be at.  She likes to kick and show me she is there and I love feeling her move around.  Mostly I feel her after I eat or drink something.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and come back tomorrow I will have some new pictures to show you!

Thanksgiving, Busy Weekend and Reaching 27 Weeks!

Thanksgiving

Usually we spend our Thanksgiving in Maine but this year because we did not want to travel this far into our pregnancy we spend this year at home.  Jerry and I made a full Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves and made enough to have plenty of left overs.

Our bird came out just right and this year the cracker stuffing was awesome.  Jerry made some giblet gravy from scratch and it was just what we needed to finish off the meal.

In an effort to try to feel like I had wine we had got some alcohol free wine, um yeah not the same.  LOL
Our spread and no as I said that isn't "real" wine
Busy Weekend:

This weekend Jerry and I did hit the shops to see what kind of deals we could find on clothing.  Jerry did find some good buys and we got little Annabelle some outfits from the Carters outlet as everything was 50% off.  We also found me a Birthday gift as my 33rd Birthday is right around the corner Dec. 7th, COACH was having a BIG sale at the outlets and being I never could justify getting a bag from there these prices were to good to pass up.  So as my Birthday gift Jerry got me a nice leather red bag!

We also got our Christmas tree up and some decorations up in our family room.  Right now as I write this I am sitting in front of our tree with our fire place going and our stockings all hung from the mantel, and Annabelle is listening to some Christmas music by Michael Buble on the belly buds, LOVE Christmas.  Annabelle seems to love it too because she is moving all around in there.

Today we actually made it to Church for the first time in a long time and we picked up a tag from the Angel Tree.  It's a 4 yr old little boy in need of a Christmas.  On the tag it asked for some pants so we got him 2 pairs of pants but also put in a shirt and a coloring book, because what 4 yr old "wants" clothing for Christmas.  We would of got him another gift but I am not sure how the Angel tree works at our Church, they might of put his requests for toys on another tag.  It felt good to do something for someone in need, lord only knows we all have been on the other end of that or know someone who has.

It's been great having 4 days off but we really have been very busy between cooking, shopping, decorating and doing the usual grocery shopping and cleaning it has been one busy weekend.  I just wish we had another 4 day weekend next week :-)

27 Weeks:

Have you seen the counter on my blog?  Today it reads 89, can you believe it, we are now not just under the 3 digits we are under 90 days until our little pumpkin arrives!  I am feeling big these days and I can feel her moving around more often now.  I read children books to her when I get a chance before drifting off to sleep and we also have our music times too were she gets to listen to some lullaby music or like tonight a special treat of some Christmas music.  Jerry is able to feel her kicks now more often.  I am having a hard time getting up and walking it's almost like I need a warm up because my hips feel tight.  My feet seem to throb when I am on them for any length of time and I am still having some swelling in my feet and hands, to be expected.  But for the most part I am feeling ok, I just think it is the extra weight that is causing my biggest issues.

Next week we have 2 big updates coming; 1 we have our 1hr glucose test on Friday and 2 we are going for another 3D/4D ultrasound to take a peek at Annabelle and get a final good shot of her little face in the womb before we meet her in person here shortly.

For our small business Saturday purchase we got some more cloth diapers and we had a $25 off coupon plus the $25 we get back from American Express for shopping small.  All and all we got each diaper for about 9 dollars and usually they cost about 18.

There are still several things we need to get for Annabelle but that will have to wait until we see what my bonus is like come Dec. We did order a monitor off Amazon as they had a good deal this past week saving us almost $30 on it.  We have been using our registry really to keep track of things we need and the brands we want as we do the research and just marking it off from there, it works!  Boy am I glad we started getting stuff as we went along because I can't imagine having to get all this in the third trimester can you say expensive!

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed some good food and great company.  For those of you who are not in the States I hope you are getting into the Holiday season and having fun doing it!

Lots of Nursery Decorating!

This weekend Jerry and I dedicated ourselves to working on Annabelle's nursery.  Jerry put up the molding last weekend and this weekend he caulked the molding and we painted it.  Jerry also took on the dirty job of sanding the letters we had ordered and we primed and painted them.  Then came the task of hanging the letters and putting the room back together.

In the pictures you can also see the little decal birdies that I had made for her room.

Enjoy the pictures:
Working hard at painting the letters

Fished a bunch

The molding is done and the letters are up!

We will be adding more to the wall over her dresser.
When we get her rocker it will go here.

26 Weeks!

It seems as though I am writing my weekly increase post more frequently, which is good that means time is flying.  This week I had my last every 4 weeks Dr. appointment and now starts the every 2 weeks appointments.  Annabelle is measuring 1 week ahead but the Dr. said it is still hard to tell and that doesn't mean she will be here earlier... hmmm I wonder how they measure that anyways because I am sure my measurements is going to be much different than someone who was way skinny before getting pregnant.  Her little heartbeat was going strong at 140bpm.

Our next appointment is at 28 weeks and I will need to do the 1hr glucose test, I hear it is oh so tasty... NOT!

Annabelle is starting to kick more and harder so I can feel her from time to time each day.  We also got some Belly Buds so she can listen to some classical music each day and we have had them for a while but really just started using them.

Next week is Thanksgiving and the end of the year will be here before we know it, thank god!  I am very much looking forward to having Annabelle here with us and though we might not be totally ready for sleepless nights (who ever is) we are very much looking forward to them with her.

I have been reading a book that was given to me by friend Danielle (thank you!) on breastfeeding and who would of though how much you need to know.  But it brings up some very good points about not letting the hospital give her a bottle of pacifier while she is learning to breast feed and many other good tips.  I think I can do all the reading I want but until she is here I won't really know what to expect until I am in the thick of it.

This weekend we need to work on painting the molding Jerry put up in her room and getter her alphabetical letters sanded and primed.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

I promise to post more pictures soon, I know I have been slacking on the picture front.

Is that counter really at 100?

I just noticed that my counter is now at 100 and today is the last day of 3 digits on the baby count down!!!  Woohoo we are getting closer every day!

Some More Baby Gear...

As promised Sunday we ran by SmartMomma and picked up a few more things.  I got the bobby pillow I wanted for her as Babies R Us only carries it online and they don't take coupons online and I had a $25 off a $100 at SmartMomma coupon.  It's cute it is pink with a butterfly on it.

We also got 2 more BumGenius cloth diapers and the sprayer that hooks up to the toilet (Jerry should have fun putting that in).  I had been eyeing the pocket nanny so I went ahead and got that also.

Jerry also tried on the Ergo baby carrier that we want (I had to watch you tube videos to figure out how to put on correctly... LOL).  I think we are going to get the brown one as Jerry said he doesn't want to wear one that is to girly... LOL.  This will also be a SmartMomma buy as the only other place to get it is online.  Maybe in a couple of weeks we will go get that next, we will see. I am kind of working on the what is priority principle for buying things now and cloth diapers are a must now.

We had a great weekend as we got to have dinner and see a good movie.  Jerry also got the molding up and all we need to do with it now is calk it and paint it white.   I also finished the quit and will post pictures as soon as I take some. It came out so much better than the first one and I washed and dried it and all is well.

We also picked up a gift for ourselves, a couple iPod Nanos and we are going to use my old one in Annabelle's room.  It's pretty neat and they are oh so small now.  We ventured over to Container store yesterday and I found the most perfect little branch shaped cast iron clothing hanger for her room over the dresser.  We are getting there!

It was a busy weekend but we got a lot done and we also got to have fun and the weather rocked!  So all and all it was an A+ weekend :-)

Woohoo 25 Weeks

Wow can you believe it we made it to 25 weeks already?  She is now 13 inches long and starting to get some of that oh so cute baby chub (well that's what I read any ways).  I am finally starting to feel her move more regularly and she has kicked hard enough that Jerry could feel it also.  It's always the way that I tell him she is moving and when he gets there to feel her she stops and then when he pulls his hand away she goes at it again.. LOL.. silly girl!  But he has felt a few times.

I'm starting to look a little more pregnant vs. fat (thank god).  I have gained about 20 pounds and though my knee is not 100% it is much better than it was for a while.  I have not had any more near passing out incidents since that scary experience last Sunday.  This morning I do feel dehydrated so I'm downing some fluids.

I ordered a new quilt kit as I messed up the other one when I washed it :-( but I must say I like this new one much better.  It has taken me no time at all to get a majority of it done, YEAH!

Today we have a big day!  Jerry and I are going to see if we can get the molding up around her room and I am going to work on her quilt while Jerry goes and works out this morning (when he wakes up - I am up way to early).  Then tonight we have DATE NIGHT!!  We are treating ourselves to a nice dinner at the Angus Barn and then we are going to the movies.

Oh I almost forgot I ordered us some Christmas Stockings with our names on them yesterday as Pottery Barn was having a sale and I ordered some small cloth diapers from Amazon.  I have some additional money set aside to get some more baby stuff this weekend so Sunday we will probably run by SmartMomma to get some more goodies.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Need to make another quilt :-(

Annabelle's quilt wasn't perfect but it was all together, until..... I washed it again.  Then the stitching broke all over the place and it had wholes all in it, ughhhhh.  I did what I could to fix it up but not I am not happy.  With that said I am going to make another one.  Unfortunately I can't get the same exact fabric and this time I didn't want to do the rag quilt again because it is just to messy looking for me and when I wash it I have to trim up all the strings.  Oh well that was a practice round.

On another note I can't believe she will be here in a little over 3 months, pretty scary and exciting.  We still have so much we need to get to be ready for her and I don't see us getting much help (what else is new).  I guess I am used to getting little to no help with the big things in life.  As they say out of sight out of mind. Oh well.

I am kind of frustrated that I STILL don't look all that pregnant.  I think it still looks like fat and I think people forget that I am 24 weeks pregnant.  I have pregnancy brain, I am tired and I can't do what I used to.

I guess it's just one of those weeks.  Thank god we had a nice day Saturday.

A Trip to the ER

This morning my husband and I went out for our usual brunch.  After eating half of my breakfast I started to feel sick.  At first I felt full then nauseous as I was trying to figure out if I should sit there and ride it out of make my way through the restaurant to the restroom then I started to feel like I was going to pass out as I sat there.

My husband was very concerned as soon as I started to get nauseous and when I told him I was losing my sight and felt like was going to pass out he called 911.  I was getting tunnel vision and what I could see was stary the restaurant was very busy and loud yet I could only hear my DH (hardly) and everything else was fading and I was breaking out into cold sweats, breathing heavy.

My husbands family has a lot of health problems so he knew to keep me from going down I had to sqeeze his hands.  So I did and that helped me start to come back but my hands went all tingly.  This all lasted about 3 mins. and the EMTs were there only about 3 mins after I started to feel better. They were very fast and I am thankful for that.

My BP for me was a bit high when they got there and then it went really low (kind of all over) and my blood sugar was ok.  I ended up taking a ride to the ER in the Ambulance just incase it happened again.
Baby Annabelle is ok and her HR was 146 and she is still kicking away.  They ended up giving me an IV and fluids and checking my blood work and doing an EKG.

The best they could tell me this is a pregnancy thing and that pregnant woman pass out and to eat every 2hrs and rest.  They think my growing uterus might of put pressure on a nerve, who knows.

The lesson here is if you feel like you are going to pass out, sit down and squeeze your husbands hands.  So our Sunday was spent at the ER watching TV and getting poked at, I am just thankful Annabelle is doing well.

Finished the Quilt!

After realizing that buying an expensive nursery bedding set was a waste of money I decided to visit www.Etsy.com and order a quilt kit for under $30.

After putting together the quilt per the instructions I really felt I needed to put on a pink silky binding around the edge.  With that said I finally sat down today and put the binding together and on the quilt.  I would love to say it was simple but I did learn a few lessons in this process.  One of them was to cut the binding fabric larger than 2 inches in width, especially when the quilt was a little on the thicker side.  The other was to add about 15 extra inches to the binding length (I added 10 inches and it was do able, but at the time I wished I had some extra when it came to joining the to ends of the binding).  The last lessons is to watch out for the darn pins, ouch!! hahaha

Now presenting Annabelle's quilt made by her Mommy's very own hands.  Can you tell I am proud?!

23 Weeks

On Friday we reached the 23 week mark, she will be here before we know it.  I am starting to feel like I look more pregnant every day and my feet are encountering some major swelling at the end of the work day (I would take a picture one day but I don't want you all to be grossed out.. LOL).

I am starting to feel her move around which is a great feeling but also odd at times (still kind of amazed to think there is a little human in there).  Jerry felt her move last night and he was thrilled because he has not really felt her move at all.

These days I am considerable more tired even though I fall asleep around 9:30pm.  I also seem to have the "pregnancy brain" as usually I am sharp as a tack when it comes to some things and lately I feel like I am in my own way.  It's ok, it's my turn to relax lord only knows it might be the last time for a long time.

My sister was in town and she just left yesterday.  It was great having her around and we miss her already.  I feel horrible we didn't get to show her around NC more as both of us had to work, but I think she enjoyed just relaxing at home during the day.  Yesterday she had to fly into a snow store and I am so happy she made it home safe and sound (for a while there it looked like no one was going to brave the snow to pick her up at the airport but my step dad finally did and got her 2hrs after her flight landed - what a long day).

We have not purchased anything new for Annabelle but before Holly left her and I put together the arms reach bassinet and that was pretty easy.  We are probably going to wait till Dec. to do any more major shopping unless something is on a more sale.

17 WEEKS TO GO!!!!

Baby Gear Shopping

This weekend we picked up a few things for our little one.  We originally went to the store to get the breast pump and bouncy seat along with the bassinet; however the Babies R Us near us didn't have the breast pump in stock and now I can't find the bouncy seat either.

Instead we picked up the swing and bassinet along with a few small things like a few bottles and 2 pacifiers.  We also found her some outfits and a crib skirt.

Here are some pictures of the big items we got:

We are getting there on the big item purchase list.   I hope everyone has a great week!

22 Weeks and Dr. Apt.

Today we hit our 22 week mark, can you say now I feel like time is starting to fly by.  We had a Dr. apt today to check on Annabelle and listen to her heart.  I am measuring on track and her little heart was pumping away.  I even felt her move while the Dr. was pressing the Doppler on my belly.  I then I got my flu shot and had some blood drawn to check on my thyroid.

I did gain more weight but I think I gained like 10-15 so far (I'm not tracking it).  Tonight I was definitely feeling "rounder" as I walked around (or as Jerry says hobbled around) the grocery store (bum knee and all).

I think I am getting close to being able to feel her move more regularly but the Dr. did tell me with my placenta in the front I won't feel her as much as others right now because she is still so tiny.

Tomorrow my sister is flying in for the week to spend some time with us and see how she likes NC. It will be great to have her here for the week, I just feel bad that we have to work all week so we won't be able to take her around places during the week.  I think she is looking forward to just relaxing anyways so it will be good.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

21 Week Check In

On Friday we hit the 21 week mark (not as big of a mile stone as 20 weeks but every week is one more week closer to meeting Annabelle).  She is now about the size of a carrot (10.5 inches long).  I am still not really feeling her move all that much, from time to time I think I feel her but I am not sure.

I have not gained a lot of weight, but I sure do feel like it.  I have a bum knee right now and my hands and feet have been swelling making walking a lot uncomfortable.  I had a few bad nights last week, waking up at 4am after going to sleep late and then having to go to work with only a few hours of sleep, never mind having to slowly walking into the office as not to pop my knee out.   I have had a lot on my mind and I think that has been keeping me up.  But this weekend our KING size mattress was delivered and that might help me stay asleep this week, now we are just waiting for our bed frame to get here in a couple of weeks.

How am I feeling?  I feel swollen as I mentioned my feet have been swollen and so are my hands.  I have been really tired, stressed and emotional.  I have a Dr. appointment this up coming week so let's see what my blood pressure is and hope it is still low as it was last time.  Every day I am just counting down the days to get us to January because I know everything will be so close then.   My only focus these days (besides my wonderful husband) is getting ready for Annabelle and keeping myself feeling good.  The week days with working is very exhausted and last week all I wanted to do was come home and put my feet up and ice my knee.

What's New?  This weekend Jerry and I got a lot done around the house (by gosh it is starting to look like people live here.. LOL).  My husband ROCKS and he was able to pick up my slack.  As I mentioned before we got our king size mattress delivered so we now have our old bed in our guest room and we put up pictures and curtains in there also, heck now we can have guests!

We also put up curtains in our bedroom along with some wall art.  Jerry is a the best and he changed out our shower heads in both bathrooms (guest room didn't have one because the prior one was broken).  He also hung up a shelf in the bathroom we have had for some time and just never got around to hanging it.  Aaaaa now our master really is starting to feel like a nice bedroom.  We should have our new bed frame in a 2-3 weeks as it is being made at Bassett right now... we are very excited about that.

We also picked up the molding that will go around Annabelle's room between the 2 wall colors, it is going to look so good.  We will need to get that molding up and sand and paint the alphabet letters to go around her room.

We are getting there!!!!

The Halfway Mark & Gifts for Annabelle

20 Weeks:  I can't hardly believe it we have reached the halfway mark.  It seems like just yesterday we were just counting down the days to get to 12 weeks and here we are now at a major milestone.

Annabelle is now 10 inches from head to heel and weighting about 10.5 ounces about the size of a banana.

I am feeling great pregnancy wise.  I still feel like I just look fat and not pregnant but I am sure in the next few weeks as Annabelle grows larger that my belly will get rounder.  I have however twisted my knee which has made it swell and hard to walk.  Tonight we went and got me a knee brace so that I don't continue to pull the muscles when trying to get around, other than that I have been keeping off it and making sure to ice it on and off.

While on vacation visiting family my Dad and Step Mom gave us some money as a gift so we could get Annabelle a mattress and a few additional things (seeing as though we flew there and back it would of been hard to take back any large gifts).  So tonight we went picked up our gifts!

We got a bathtub, changing table pad, breathable bumper,
sound machine and changing table pad cover

Thank You Dad and Sheri!

Baby Gifts While On Vacation

WE ARE BACK..........  Boy it feels good to be home after traveling for 10 days.  We had a very nice trip and we got to see a lot of family.  We started off in Maine and worked our way down through Mass and Connecticut.   Along the way we got to go apple picking, visit Boothbay Harbor ME, see Old Sturbridge Village in MA, release butterflies in Newport RI and visit the Breakers Mansion in Newport.  We also got to see a lot of my family and spend time with them prior to our little pumpkins arrival.

Our family gave us some wonderful gifts for our little pumpkin and we were so excited about each and every gift.  I took some pictures to show you the wonderful and thoughtful gifts we received.
This was a gift from my Dad and Step Mom.  They also gave us a mattress
for the crib, we just need to go pick it up next weekend.

Love this shirt "I'm a Keepah!"  for those of you not from New England
this is a play on the northern accent.

My Nieces, Sister In Law and Brother gave Annabelle some really cute
outfits (my sister in law said she was in an elephant phase, so cute)

My Auntie Vickie gave us this oh so tiny outfit and a bracelet.
She gave us the bracelet because my grandmother (who has passed) always gave
a bracelet and she wanted to pass on that tradition.  Can I just say these tights are the cutest ever!

My Mom and Step Dad got Annabelle some sleepers, swadel blanket,
an oh so cute towel.

This is a very nice gift from my Mom and Step Dad for Annabelle

My sister got Annabelle some much needed onsies and the cuties summer outfit.
She also got her a blanket like she had as a child (she loved her blankie) and the cutest
tiny slippers.

Jerry and I picked up a few things for Annabelle while shopping
in Boothbay Harbor and Newport RI

This is a christening outfit my Auntie Estel gave to me to use for Annabelle.
This outfit was warn my Mom, Auntie Estel and their two brothers.  I love
things with meaning, I just hope she can fit in it when we have her baptised as it is tiny.

We found this perfect hand made night light for Annabelle's room, don't you love it?
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!
